Our team of attorneys works with experts of other departments of the Firm, offering integral legal advice in the field and comprising all the aspects of operations involving our clients, such as labor law, taxes, licenses, intellectual property, image rights, money laundering prevention and regulations issued by the Financial Information Unit (Unidad de Información Financiera -UIF-), exchange law, corporate law and civil associations law, among others.

Our professional practice includes also advice on contracts, and within the football scope, also transfers and professionals on loan, claims for training compensations and solidarity mechanism, appeal against penalties and legal opinions.

§  Advice and legal representation of Asociación del Futbol Argentino (AFA) in the legal proceedings in which it is involved, both at a local level and before the Tribunal Arbitral du Sport (TAS) seated in Lausana, Switzerland.

§  Advice on tax, labor and contractual regimes of professional Football players.

§  Advice to athletes in sponsoring and use of image rights agreements.

§  Legal advice to Yamaha Motor Argentina S.A. in sponsoring and athletes agreements.

§  Legal advice to Total Especialidades Argentina S.A. in the sponsoring agreement to the football team of Club Atlético Boca Juniors.

§  Legal advice in the transfer of football players of Club Júbilo Iwata (Japan) to Argentina.

§  Legal advice to LG Electronics Argentina S.A. in the negotiation and preparation of the sponsoring agreement to the football team of Club Atlético Boca Juniors.

§  Legal advice to Walmart Argentina in the sponsoring agreement with the football team of Club Atlético San Lorenzo de Almagro.

§  Legal advice to Total Especialidades Argentina S.A. in the sponsoring agreement of the Dakar Rally that took place in Argentina, Chile, Bolivia and Peru.

§  Legal representation and assistance to the creditors in football clubs’ receivership proceedings.

§  Legal advice to Torneos y Competencias S.A., a producer of sports events for network and cable television, in the negotiation of different contracts, among which the contracts with Asociación de Fútbol Argentino (AFA) stand out for the exclusive right to broadcast local championships matches; and with air channels, for broadcasting thereof.

§  Legal advice to Torneos y Competencias S.A. in the execution of TV production contracts and agreements with the football clubs (Club Atlético River Plate, Club Atlético Boca Juniors, among others).

§  Legal advice to Torneos y Competencias S.A. in matters related to the organization of summer professional football tournaments.

§  Legal advice to América TV S.A. in the acquisition of TV rights to broadcast the Football World Cup.

§  Legal advice and representation of PepsiCo de Argentina S.R.L. in the judicial proceeding filed by Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), with the purpose of preventing the broadcasting of certain advertising campaigns by PepsiCo during the Football World Cup organized by FIFA, and in obtaining compensation for the alleged violation of rights and damages. The proceeding dealt with the extent and extension of the trademark rights of FIFA related to the Football World Cup and the power of advertisers who, without being official sponsors of said World Cup, intended to mention said event to advertise their products. The Lower Court’s results were favorable for PepsiCo because, before the rendering of the judgment, the FIFA abandoned the action and the right of action without receiving any compensation whatsoever from PepsiCo.
